Electroforming

Basically this is the forming of a thick layer of silver (or copper) over the outside of an object.

This object can be metal, wax, organic (e.g. wood, flowers), glass.

The basic object (mandrel) could be removable afterwards (e.g. melting the wax out) or 'sacrificial' and stays in (e.g. walnut).

The process gives the possibility of making large objects that are hollow and therefore light.

I do have this capacity and am having fun developing it, so you should look forward to seeing exciting electroformed pieces in the future.
