'The images in these pictures are simple but have been drawn from a surprisingly wide range of sources, reflecting natural (especially marine) forms, maps and the landscape. As I work in an urban setting, elements of architecture and enclosure also appear with an emphasis on glass or stained glass. The vibrant and diverse creative community where I am based is also an important stimulus and aspects of the unselfconsciousness I associate with the imagery of popular culture have also contributed to the work.'
